6 sessions to go!

Well, the competition is drawing ever closer...with only 6 sessions left to go, the teams are all working as hard as ever.

Everyone is very excited about going to Brighton, and we all want to make sure we do as well as possible. The dance teams are fighting fit and ready to go, the Stunt squads are sure coming on well, and the partner stunt is awesome - and no, I'm really not that modest am i?. (A big hug and high five to our fantastic flyer though. Shes ace.)

Just remember guys, we really need to get more funds together, so please make sure you try your best to make it to our bag-packing days, ad other fundraising events. See the ,main website for details.

Update time!

Apologies for the time it's taken to update this blog, but things have been busy in the Shadows Camp!

Our first competition in February [Western Classics] went fantastically well, with th esquad coming away with a Third position in the dance division. Not bad for a first attempt after only 3 months of training together!.

Preparations are now well underway for the Southern Classic Competitions in Brighton next November. All squads are working hard in both the dance and cheer stunting divisions. Keep up the good work guys, it'll be worth it!

The Shadows have also taken part in a number of local displays for schools and charities. The opening of Puxton Park with Michaela Strachan, The RSPA Open day on the Beach Lawns and Herons Moor Summer Fair to name but a few. Coming up, the squad also have a display at The Scouts Funday. All in all very busy, but a great experience and lots of fun for everyone involved. A huge well done to all of the Squad members who took part. Even when the music wouldn't work, you kept going for the crowd, with a true Cheerleader Spirit!

Also a big well done on behalf of the squad to all of the girls from Lisa-Janes Weston Youth Dance Company, who also took part in the recent displays.

I think a huge thank you is once again in order for Lisa-Jane and Cris for their continuing hard work and dedication. High five!

Until next time [which won't be such a wait I promise!] take care and keep cheering!

The first entry!

The Somerset Shadows have now been training for several weeks, and things are going very well.

The dance teams are well into thier training, with the routines developing nicely, and the stunting is also progressing well. All of the girls seem to be thouroughly enjoying themselves, even when they do get put through the rigorous Circuit Training exercise at the start of each practice!

We are hoping to be able to get some sponsorship lined up to help with uniform costs and travel costs for competitons, so if you know anyone who could help, let us know!

Hopefully we will be competitng in the BCA Western Classics Competition this coming February, so keep your eyes peeled! And girls......Keep Working!
